While we recognize that indiscriminate bike parking is caused in part by a lack of parking space and are in the process of adding more bicycle parks under Contract AM110, the team frequently observes users parking outside the available designated parking space for their own convenience, causing an obstruction to the public space. As a result, it is vital to remind the public to park bicycles in specified areas.

Abandoned/derelict bicycles at MRT stations are crowding out parking spaces for other customers. While both the PTO and the LTA have devised a comprehensive enforcement regime to address this issue, its effectiveness is restricted due to a shortage of resources to discover abandoned/derelict bicycles and storage space for removed bicycles. As a result, an education message is also necessary to educate consumers that bikes are dangerous.
